Matthew 4:11 (NKJV) – Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Hebrews 1:14 (NKJV) -Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Jesus is our model and standard and if angels ministered to Him, we should also yearn for the ministration of angels upon our lives

Abraham, Lot, Moses, Elijah and David all had ministration from angels directing and guiding them

Exodus 3:2 (NIV) – There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.

When angels come into our lives, they bring us divine provisions

2 Samuel 24:17 (NIV) – When David saw the angel who was striking down the people, he said to the Lord, “I have sinned; I, the shepherd, have done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Let your hand fall on me and my family.”

Hospitable people can attract angels according to Hebrews 13:2 (NIV) – Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

The angel of the Lord encamps those who fear the Lord

Acts 12:11 (NIV) – Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.”

We all have our personal angels ministering to us – Acts 12:15

 Why do we need angels?

Jesus when he was baptized and the spirit of God had come over him still had angels visiting him – (Luke 4:1, Acts 12:4-7) Peter who was full of the holy ghost still had the encountering of an angel

Who Are angels?

1. They are messengers of God
2. They are ministering spirits to serve – Hebrews 1:14
3. They are sons of God – Job 1:6 KJV
4. They are spirit beings
5. They are created beings – Ezekiel 28:13

Some facts about angels

1. Good and bad angels – Revelations 12:7-9
2. They are mighty in power and strength – 2 Kings 19:35, Psalm 103:20
3. They are in ranks – (Isaiah 6:2 seraphim always in the temple praising the Lord), (Genesis 3:24 cherubim, they have specific duties. Satan oversaw music) (Archangels – Jude 1:9)
4. Jesus is superior to angels – Hebrews1:4
5. They are not to be worship – Rev 19:9-10
