Our Ministries

As the name portrays, this is purposely for the children in the church. We take in children between ages 1 to 12. The children ministry starts as soon as service starts which is 8:30am and ends when the main adult service ends, which is 10:30am.

Be rest assured that your children are safe with us while you enjoy your time with the Lord. Our main goal is to train up the children in the fear and knowledge of the Lord.

We teach the scripture and character studies of some notable biblical young characters who were taught the fear of God and grew up to become famous individuals in the society.

Among the popular lessons taught in a typical children’s Sunday school class are obedience, respect, humility, bible quotations/recitations, drama, etc.

Another purpose of this Movement is to train the children to become future leaders of this great church and the world at large.

The ministry is well resourced with items as well as teachers to teach and train your children in the ways of Lord as well as take care of them while service is ongoing.

In every church organization however, it is necessary to have individuals who are dedicated to making sure the gospel is preached out of the whole congregation and the evangelism ministry in the Church of Pentecost serves as the dedicated team for this; PIWC Kwadaso is no exception.

The Evangelism Ministry serves as the outreach wing of the church. The ministry’s core mandate is to reach out to the lost, disciple them and teach them to do same. This otherwise known as the great commission is expected of every spirit-filled believer.

‘I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ (Matthew 28:18-20).

The Evangelism Ministry is the evangelistic wing of the Church. Its functions are:

  • To carry out evangelism, i.e. preaching, witnessing and winning souls.
  • To encourage Church members to participate in the full programs and activities of the Church and further expose them to the various ministries within the Church.
  • To afford the members of the Church the opportunity to plan and organize programs and activities for evangelism in villages, towns, and cities.

The Ministry also co-ordinates all evangelism activities regarding Prisons and Street Children, Medical Outreaches, Widows Ministry, organization of New Converts and Maturity Classes for souls won and in collaboration with a well-organized Follow-up Team. The membership of the Evangelism Ministry is open to all members of the center but mandatory for all members between the ages of twenty (20) and forty (40) years thereabouts.

The ministry is made up of young individuals between ages 13 and above. The youth ministry hosts diverse programs to develop the members of the ministry as well as to help address the various challenges the youth are likely to face.

The Youth Ministry is specifically for building and developing the young men and women in the church. Sandwiched between the children and adult groupings, the youth is faced with identification and cultural dilemmas, which threatens their spiritual viability.

We are aware of the pressures that our young people face today. Our Youth Ministry is organized so as to help our younger brothers and sisters maintain a constant Christian witness at school, home, church and at play, whilst encouraging them in their faith. The Ministry embraces students in all categories and the young men and women especially within the age category of thirteen (13) and about thirty (30) years thereabouts. It seeks to:

  • Prepare members to be examples to their peers in speech and conduct and thereby glorifying God with their lives,
  • Equip the growing adolescents and youth to mature to model adults ready for the work of the ministry and future leadership roles for effective ministry in the Church,
  • Offer a platform for the required guidance and counselling for students in areas of career choice, transition from one educational level to another, effective study life in school, job opportunities, placement and related issues, relationships, etc.
  • Rescue the perishing especially our peers in the various schools, communities and even in the Church,
  • Provide an avenue for the youth to put to good use the gifts and abilities that God has placed in them.
