The only three people who were qualified to carry the anointing in the old testament were the king, priest and prophet. In economics, anything that is scares is very costly.
So many people were rejected in 1 Samuel 16 because the anointing is not something people were just privileged to get.
The anointing is composed of the Holy Ghost and power (Acts 10:38).
Even after death, the anointing causes names of the dead to be mentioned and talked about as if they are still alive
Acts 1:8 fulfills Acts 10:38 in the life of a believer.
According to Joel 2:28-32, God is going to pour out His Spirit on all mankind and their sons and daughters would prophesy, old men would dream dreams, young men would see visions, and even male and female servants would have the Holy Sprit poured out on them
Acts 4:33 (NKJV) – And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.
The continuous infilling of the Holy Spirit is a must for all Christians. We should not slack after the baptism of the holy spirit in our lives. Faith can not work when your conscience is not pure
After the in filling of the holy spirit had occurred in Acts 4,in Acts 5, the shadow of Peter even had the potency to heal the sick.
How to increase the anointing
- Praise sends you into a new dimension. Righteousness is needed for the anointing – Psalm 92, Chronicles 20:20, Eph 5:17-20, Ps 34
- Speaking in tongues. Speak it more in your closet and at home than in church –
