Are you still living in the things of the world or not?

Repentance is showing that one is sorry for something done and you wish it had not occurred

Repentance is also making a change of mind, heart and actions by turning away from sin and self and returning to God

It is also an expression of shame and degradation.

The prodigal son repented and he was welcome back home. Irrespective of how he looked, he was not welcome back as a slave. God has given us the power to be called sons of God through his grace and love

2 Corinthians 7:9-10
[9]Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.
[10]For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

Repentance comes through
• reading the word of God – Romans 10:9-14
• Holy spirit – John 16:8

Let no man always have to convince you to live the word of the lord. Learn to love him yourself also

Repentance is not just emotional sharing of tears at the sparing of the moment. It has to touch you but not just superficial. It must bring an outward change

Repentance is demonstrated in our lives. It’s a sign of our faith in the finished work of Christ

Repentance must be personally motivated. One the spirit convicts you,

Repentance becomes necessary in our Christian life and not only in the life of unbelievers. Use the word of God as a personal scale to access your life. Repentance starts with personal examination of ones self

Repentance leads to
• Leads one from darkness to light
• Peace with oneself
