The altar Noah built attracted the Lord and God even reversed his judgement against man by means of reversing the curse God placed on man. Noah was the first person to build an altar for the Lord

Altars are used for sacrifice and burnt offering.

Moses built an altar to remind the Lord that people were against them so He should also war against them – Exodus 17:15-16

When your altar releases incense to the Lord, He blesses us – (Exodus 20:24)

Altars attract the supernatural. That is why the gentiles started to erect altars for their lesser God’s

As Christians we carry a higher altar and must not fear the altars of the enemies against our life

The purpose of the altar is for sacrifice and burnt offering – Exodus 30:1

In the New Testament, altars are still in existence – (Luke 1:10-12). Jesus is the superior high priest. In our time, we erect altars spiritually not physically like in the times of Moses and Noah

All evil altars against us must be destroyed – (Exodus 34:13)

The laws were a shadow of things to come – (Hebrews 10:1, Colossians 2:16-17)

Are altars relevant today?

YES but they are different. We raise spiritual altars where we do three (3) things

  • We are living sacrifices. In our time we are supposed to make sacrifices. Jesus’s death has pacified everything so we do not sacrifice blood, but our bodies must be presented as holy sacrifices – (Romans 12:1). We are priest and sacrifice all in one – (1 Peter 2:9). Every day we are on the altar so we must live blameless lives free from sin and must not do anything to defile our bodies (sacrifice). On the altar God is looking for sacrifices that do not conflict with His word.
  • We are also in the New Testament so we are to give sacrifice of praise – (Hebrews 13:15). As Christians we have to always thank and praise God every day.
  • The altar is used for prayer – (Revelation 8:2-5). Come boldly to the throne of grace through prayer.

Prayer Point(s)

  • I lift up a prayer of incense unto the Lord and let it come back like lightening and earthquake to shake every foundation and in my life and my family in the name of Jesus
  • I disconnect myself from all evil altars in my bloodline and family, that stands against my life, destiny and family. Let the holy ghost fire destroy all evil altars in the name of Jesus
  • In the name of Jesus, all evil altars against my advancement and progress as I pray be destroyed in the name of Jesus
  • I raise a godly altar for my family in the name of Jesus. I erect my own family altar in the name of Jesus. Let my altar attract your grace, anointing, favour, and the presence of God in the name of Jesus

Signs of the snare in your life

The mere fact that you are born again doesn’t insulate you from the devil’s scheme. The bible says in James 5:13 that if anyone is suffering, you should pray. Sometimes things done seem the way they see outside. That is why Paul said to the Ephesians do not give a foothold to the devil (Ephesians
